The following two pdf files were produced using a combination of Markdown and LaTex. Markdown1 and Markdown2 cover very similar ground. Markdown1 has a preamble which shows amongst other things how to include a LaTex package, in this case amsmath. Markdown2 is simpler and shows how to get a similar output without needing a preamble or the use of the amsmath package.
This markdown file has no LaTex, it is all just Markdown.
